Hurricane Sandy was devastating to the tri-state area. The wind was extremely forceful and the rain was powerful. But what made it happen? Basically it started out as a summer hurricane, getting its energy from the ocean, and then collided with a winter storm that made it much more dangerous and larger. High energy weather collisions are really dangerous. The destruction and power of the storm shows us that we need to study weather because it controls our live and we need to figure out ways for humans to have the smallest impact possible on the weather and nature in general. The more we pollute and waste, the more trouble we make for the living organisms on the planet.
